Privacy policy

Updated 29 Oct 2026

Effective 29 October 2026

Sure Plugger Technologies ("Sure Plugger", "we", "us") connects wholesalers, resellers and buyers in Nigeria. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it and what control you have. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

If something here is unclear, message us on WhatsApp or email us. Our contact details are in the footer of every page.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Sure Plugger Technologies, the company named in the footer of this site together with its CAC registration number, is the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. What we collect

Wholesalers

  • Business name, contact name, phone number, email (if you give one), market, address and what you sell.
  • Photos of your shop and stock taken by our agent during verification.
  • Notes from the verification visit, the date of each check and a record of your consent to be listed.

Resellers

  • Name, email and phone number, collected when you ask us for a wholesaler or pay us.
  • Your location and the categories you buy in, when you tell us.
  • Records of the introductions and payments you make with us, including the payment reference.

Buyers

  • First name, WhatsApp number, location and the categories you are interested in.
  • What you ask us to look for when you post a request.

Everyone

  • Messages you send us on WhatsApp or email.
  • Basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, which our hosting provider logs for security and to keep the site running.

Staff and agents who sign in to our consoles give us their name, email and phone number, and the sign-in service we use records when they sign in.

We never see or store your card number. Card and bank details go straight to our payment provider.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

What we do Why Basis
Verify wholesalers and list them To run the service you signed up for Your consent and our contract with you
Introduce resellers to wholesalers and send the details after payment To deliver what you paid for Contract
Take payments and send receipts To complete your purchase and keep financial records Contract and legal obligation
Send offers, alerts and new wholesaler news on WhatsApp Marketing you asked for Your consent, which you can withdraw anytime
Fix problems, prevent fraud and enforce our rules To keep everyone on the platform safe Legitimate interest
Keep records for tax and audit To meet the law Legal obligation

4. Who sees your data

  • Wholesalers' phone numbers and details are not published on the website. A reseller receives a wholesaler's contact details only after we have introduced them and the reseller has paid. We tell wholesalers this when they list, and they consent to it.
  • Resellers' details are shared with a wholesaler when we introduce you, so they can reach you about an order.
  • Our team and field agents see what they need to do their jobs, and no more.
  • Service providers process data for us under agreement: our payment provider (currently Paystack), email delivery, sign-in for staff, photo storage, and hosting and database providers. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities. We disclose data when the law or a valid court order requires it, or to protect people from fraud or harm.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not hand out lists of wholesalers, resellers or buyers.

5. Moving data outside Nigeria

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Nigeria. When that happens we use providers that protect data to a standard comparable to the NDPA, and we make sure the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

  • Wholesaler listings stay while you are listed. After you ask us to remove you, or after your listing is closed, we delete your details within 48 hours, except for the minimum we must keep for fraud prevention or legal reasons.
  • Payment and order records are kept for at least six years for tax and audit purposes.
  • Buyer and reseller marketing details are kept until you opt out. Replying STOP or using the removal page ends all messages to you.
  • Verification photos are kept for as long as the wholesaler's listing and badge history need them.

7. Your rights

Under the NDPA you can ask us to:

  • tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy,
  • correct data that is wrong or out of date,
  • delete your data,
  • stop using your data for marketing, or restrict how we use it,
  • move your data to another provider, where that applies, and
  • withdraw consent you gave us earlier. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these, use the "Remove my details" page or message us on WhatsApp or by email. We respond within 30 days, and removal requests are handled within 48 hours. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act.

You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you think we have mishandled your data. We would like the chance to fix it first.

8. Keeping data safe

We use access controls, encrypted connections, and separate sign-ins for our team, and we limit staff and agent access to what their role needs. No system is perfectly safe. If there is a breach that puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the NDPC within the time the law sets.

9. Children

Sure Plugger is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their data, tell us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you on the site or on WhatsApp.
